When you live on a boat, some days you just have to stop traveling and tend to some housekeeping. Today was that day. Laundry, provisioning, putting on water took up the major part of the day. The rest was filled with music and reading. Not a bad way to spend the day but also not very good for entertaining blog posts. Tomorrow we're off again to make some headway north before the remnants of hurricane Debby hit us for three days of rain in a row. I had hoped that by the time we got this far north we wouldn't be dealing with hurricanes, but it would seem that climate change is wreaking havoc on historical weather models. Oh well, at least we get some beautiful sunsets out of it. Hope you had a great day as well!
(or how to move onto a sailboat) With the advent of our 50th birthdays came the usual sorts of life evaluations that one goes through. At what have I succeeded? What contributions have I made? What do I have left that I want to do before I die? Living on the water was high on both our lists. For any who share the dream, and for our family members who might not understand, this is our story. We don't know where it will take us, but welcome along for the ride!
